company
Smart Metabolism, Inc. (the "Company") was founded in November
2004 and is providing physical therapy clinics with proprietary
software and hardware systems alongside programmatic methods for
helping their clients to effectively manage the illnesses called
obesity and overweight (results).
The implementation regimen we have developed relies on hard scientific
data for health discovery so physical therapy clinicians can assist
with clients' efforts to improve their own health understanding
and improvement.
Obesity and overweight as an illness category
are vast and ever increasing. Studies indicate that two thirds of
the U.S. adult population today is obese or overweight, yet physicians
do not have at their disposal an effective treatment, let alone
a remedy. As a result, the disease is underreported. In fact, obesity
and overweight are reported in only 10% of patient visits today
despite the prevalence of the condition. Our program, delivered
by physical therapists to patients referred by doctors, has demonstrated
its effectiveness with treating the illness.
Through the regimen we have developed
and in partnership with hardware, software and requisite equipment
providers, the Company is distributing a protocol for treatment,
including training on how to administer the protocol, to physical
therapists in the U.S. These practitioners are best equipped to
implement the system because they have:
- Existing infrastructure that is under
capitalized (the clinic and exercise equipment)
- Appropriately trained staff
- A counselor/advisor based patient
relationship that is non-threatening to the target market
- Existing referral networks with
physicians in order to readily capture patients
- A motivation to generate new and
increased revenues as insurance providers apply cost-saving pressure
to their traditional practice
Smart Metabolism, Inc. is providing
physical therapists with the means to deepen and strengthen their
existing and new patient relationships. Additionally, the program
offerings from the Company give physical therapists the means to
broaden the frequency of patient referrals provided to them by physicians.
